Campers on hiking holidays always find a pitch, even just for a night. For those who don't have a tent or are unwilling to bring theirs, we have a budget room for rent.
On the terrace of your holiday cottage or on your camping spot on the campsite you have magnificent views. Get in deep contact with De Peel's nature and various landscape. Usually, there is only one way to explore the different nature reserves. The area is perfect for walking, so your boots are made for walking.....!
Walking junction network
If you want to map out your own route? You can use the walking junction network. This network consists of numbered nodes on signs along the paths. You can plan your own routes with the walking route planner on Visit Brabant . Aldörrum lies between node 13 and 19.
For your convenience, there are ´Green Public Bus Stops´. These are starting points that are easily reached by public transport. In region De Peel there are 25 stops where you can start. You find these especially in villages, at junctions of walking routes or in a beautiful nature reserve.

Long distance paths (LAW)
Of course, there are also some marked fascinating walks you can make through the local countryside, along footpaths, bridleways and on pretty country lanes. There are some delightful short way marked routes from our holiday lodges and camping site as well as middle-distance routes (with white-yellow stripes). You can join the Nederheideroute just minutes away from Aldörrum.
Hikers who walk with Nordic Walking poles, can of course use many ordinary walking routes. Nevertheless, certain routes are more pleasant for Nordic Walking. To avoid changing the caps too often, it is nice there are not a lot of transitions form a paved road to a gravel surface. In nature reserve Grotelsche Heide there is ample opportunity to do this.
Every year at Whitsun the Laarbeekse walking event takes place. The walks are mostly unpaved near Laarbeek. You can choose between different distances, ranging between 5 and 40 km.
With GPS it's possible to take a walk without route signs, maps or route directions. The GPS will take you easily from point a to b. Put in all appropriate coordinates (waypoints) in advance, and follow the route from point to point. You can download a lot of GPS trails on the internet. Below are some links to website that offer GPS-walking routes in North-Brabant.
