Sustainable tourism at Aldörrum - ecology

At Aldörrum, we are passionate about protecting the environment. Thats why we not only carry out recycling and energy conservation, we have also planted our fruit orchard with lots of old varieties, berry bushes and sunflowers.

We are committed to preserve the landscapes of Brabant. Our aim is to keep everything as natural as possible while still offering the essential facilities that will ensure your visit with us is a pleasurable one.

Ecologically facilities

	The property has been carefully and thoughtfully landscaped, and attracts a huge variety of wildlife (birds, mammals and insects). To restore parts back to Brabantine scrub woodland we used region-own trees en shrubs. We also based these on historical-cultural values of the landscape. The yard looks in keeping with the surrounding landscape.
	The fruit orchard and the edge sunflowers add something extra's to the property.

There are many species of birds nesting and feeding on site, for example the falcon, the swallow, partridge and the little owl. The buzzard, common to the Peel, can usually be seen circling overhead.
