Aldörrum has a remarkable concept. We have cottages accessible for everyone, for people with or without disabilities. You can enjoy your holidays without the fear of unexpected obstacles. We call it ourselves ‘barrier-free lodging’.
Tranquillity, space, atmosphere and an allergen-reduced facility are principles we used in the construction and furnishing of the accommodation. Some of Aldörrums apartments have been specifically designed and built for people with any disabilities and their families or carers. Not only are the luxury holiday lodges designed to make everyday living easy and pleasurable, the rest of the site is of course also wheelchair accessible and there is an accessible private spa. Barrier-free lodging
All families living with a disability will know that it can be difficult to find suitable holiday accommodation. An accommodation for the able-bodied and also for those with mbility difficulties who are holidaying with able-bodied family or friends.
Then Aldörrum is an ideal holiday destination! Everyone should enjoy their stay with us. Some holiday lodges have been designed with the needs of people with disabilities or limited mobility in mind. The large holiday lodges at Aldörrum offer the very highest standard in disabled holiday accommodation. With the same painstaking attention to sheer luxury and quality as all the holiday lodges at Aldörrum, these luxury lodges have also been designed with the needs of people with disabilities or limited mobility in mind. All cottages are bright, warm, comfortable, very well equipped and the adaptations we have made for disabled and less able visitors are subtle and unobtrusive.
Who stays
Everyone is welcome in our holiday cottages. From able bodied guest to those with a variety of health concerns. A number of cottages can be adjusted to suit the needs for our less mobile guests.
Wheelchair users find fully wheelchair friendly cottages with extra-wide doorways, accessible light switches, easy to use kitchens and easy manoeuvrability within them. The bathrooms have wheel-in showers, grab rails and on request we can install drop down/grab rails. There are no steps and each cottage has its own wheelchair accessible terrace and parking space. One holiday cottage has been designed with electronically adjustable kitchen work top for easy access to cooking and dish handling.
People with respiratory or breathing difficulties need to have a dustproof and non-smoking establishment. The cottages are tiled throughout with under-floor heating, have furniture with leather trim, beds with allergen-tight mattress covers, and so on. All the furniture is of good quality. In these cottages pets are not allowed and we have a non-smoking policy.
If you are less mobile, you probably have special needs. We can offer a number of aids and facilities to help our less mobile guests, which can be used in several cottages. There is a height-adjustable electric bed with a monkey pole, a wheelchair and a wheeled shower chair. You can also use our hydraulic shower stretcher. If you have other wishes, we recommend contacting us.
With the specific exception of guide or assistance dogs, we do not accept pets in the cottages and request that guests do not smoke.

Our policy is to provide support whenever practicable, provided we know in advance; so we ask all our guests to discuss their needs with us at the time of booking. If you need medical care we contact you within a week if the necessary support can be provide. You may cancel your reservation free of charge or change the dates, if we cannot arrange qualified care assistance.
