For an adventurous canoe trip, there are the rivers Dommel and Aa. If you don't have a canoe, there are several rental companies where you can rent a canoe. A popular starting or ending point is watermill Venbergen in Valkenswaard.

River the Dommel starts in Belgium and enters the Netherlands in Borkel en Schaft. It floats through the places Valkenswaard, Eindhoven, Son en Breugel, Sint-Oedenrode, Liempde, Boxtel, Sint-Michielsgestel and 's-Hertogenbosch.
River the Aa rises at Nederweert in the province of Limburg. Through the diversion of the Zuid-Willemsvaart in Helmond, the course of the Aa has changed dramatically. After Beek en Donk the river flows independently again towards the villages Veghel, Heeswijk-Dinther, Berlicum and the town 's-Hertogenbosch.
In 's-Hertogenbosch, the river Aa and Dommel flow together in the Dieze. The Dieze flows out eventually in the Maas.
