Aldörrum lodges and campsite is well placed, having nature reserve ‘De Biezen’ and ‘Grotelsche Heide’ on the doorstep and 'De Stippelberg' and 'De Peel' nearby. If you want to map out your own route? You can use the walking junction network. This network consists of numbered nodes on signs along the paths. For your convenience, there are ´Green Public Bus Stops´. These are starting points that are easily reached by public transport. In region De Peel there are 25 stops where you can start. Of course, there are also some marked fascinating walks you can make through the local countryside, along footpaths, bridleways and on pretty country lanes. We have selected some of our favourite local walks (5 - 14 km) and you will find these suggested routes available at the reception.
There are some delightful short way marked routes from our holiday lodges and camping site as well as middle-distance routes (with white-yellow stripes). You can join the Nederheideroute just minutes away from Aldörrum. Walking routes nearby:

| Every year at Whitsun the Laarbeekse walking event takes place. The walks are mostly unpaved near Laarbeek. You can choose between different distances, ranging between 5 and 40 km. |

Hikers who walk with Nordic Walking poles, can of course use many ordinary walking routes. Nevertheless, certain routes are more pleasant for Nordic Walking. To avoid changing the caps too often, it is nice there are not a lot of transitions form a paved road to a gravel surface. In nature reserve Grotelsche Heide there is ample opportunity to do this.
With GPS it's possible to take a walk without route signs, maps or route directions. The GPS will take you easily from point a to b. Put in all appropriate coordinates (waypoints) in advance, and follow the route from point to point. You can download a lot of GPS trails on the internet.
