Cycling and skating from Aldörrum

We offer a cycle friendly accommodation (Bed & Bike). Campers on cycle touring holiday always find a pitch, even just for a night.

The site is a bikers paradise where the car can be forgotten with numerous cycle tracks leading in various wind-directions.

 

The Netherlands has two types of through-going cycling networks, namely the regional cycling junction network and the national cycling routes (LF-routes) who can easily been combined. All these routes are signposted in both directions. To move from one to the other network, some sections use the same route. For a complete overview, you can check-out nederlandfietsland.nl.

Cycle junction Network

Our street is embodied in the so-called cycling junction system of the southeast of Brabant. By linking the nodes you can plot your own interesting cycling trips. Our holiday cottages and mini campsite are situated between node 59 and 67.

With the cycle route network you determine your route and the number of kilometers you wish to cycle. You can cycle in two directions, from reference point ot reference point using the numbered (white-green) signposts. Freedom and flexiblilty.

National cycling routes (LF)

The long-distance bike routes form one large cycle tour or cycle route. All these routes are signposted in both directions. The signs shows the number and the name of the route that is being followed.

The national cycling routes are very suitable for the long-distance bike tourer. You can follow a single LF as a whole. But you can easily follow a custom made route by combining different routes. The national cycling tour LF 34 (Gerwen - Eldrik) passes Aldörrum lodges and minicamping. The LF 34 (not signposted) is a connection between cycle route LF 13 and LF 14.

The special Spanish sheep-fold was built in 1810 behind castle Croy for the woolmerino's. This species is famous for its sheep wool and is back on the Croy estate.

MTB routes

For both the starting and the experienced mountain biker there are challenging routes to be found in the Peel. Through unpaved paths, climbs and descents, the signposted trails lead you through forests and nature reserves. The routes vary in length from 7 tot 46.5 km and can be cycled individually and successively. Inline skating

The Netherlands is perfect for inline skating. The province of North Brabant is virtually flat, crisscrossed with bicycle paths, and teeming with rural beauty. Not far from our lodge and camping-site the Tourist Office pegged out the 'Stippelberg' skating route with quaint, pristine villages, an abundance of green scenery and of course along various pavements. Besides this one, there are more skating trails in the neighbourhood. Skating routes nearby:
